THE CURSILLO

Is this for you?

there are a few things you should be aware of...

**    This program is for believing Christians.  By "believing Christians" we do not mean people whose faith is perfect.  No one's faith is perfect.  But a "believing Christian" is someone who is trying to believe what Jesus Christ taught, even though he is still searching and sometimes doubts.

**    Since the Cursillo involves talking, sharing and opening up to others, we suggest you do not come at a time in your life when you feel troubled or upset.  It is hard at times like that to relax, be ourselves, and share ourselves with others.

**    Your participation is very important to your experience if you do come.  That means a willingness to listen to and learn from others and a real effort to share with others your own ideas, thoughts and feelings about yourself, your life and God.

**    The Cursillo is a structured weekend.  It consists of a series of talks and discussions.  It can be a lot of fun, but it is also a lot of work.  If someone comes, we ask him to participate in all of the events - the talks, discussions, and liturgies.

The Cursillo is an opportunity to:

*    work hard at getting to know yourself                                            *    meet, get close to, and be strengthened by very fine people

*    discover your strengths                                                                 *    look at the direction your life is taking

*    look at and try to do something with the areas in                             *    figure out what place God plays in your life, and get closer to Him.
