The Shrine of Our Lady of the Island invites catechists of the St. Leo the Great Parish of Queens, NY to a day of prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal. This retreat offers catechists the opportunity to step away from the demands of ministry and focus on their own relationship with Christ through the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The retreat will emphasize personal spiritual growth through prayer, reflection on Scripture, and shared community, helping catechists move from “doing” to “being” as they prepare their hearts for the ministry of handing on the faith.
